1. What is the task?
“We Target™ Your Every Need”
I went with this tagline because this is what Target is all about. I
am trying to promote that Target truly knows what deals people
want/need and when while advertising this in a fun, family
manner. The campaign promotes Target superstores having these
deals in surplus compared to the average Target store, which
people don’t even realize they need.
2. Who is our target audience?
Target’s target audience is middle-class families. Data shows that
the typical Target shopper is a suburban mom aged 35 to 44 with
a college education and a household income of $80,000
(Backman, 2023). Ideally, for this campaign, we want to keep our
exact target audience while reaching new moms, moms with kids
of all ages, single parents, newlyweds, and single adults.
3. Where will this ad appear?
This ad will appear in OOH, print media and online. Most of the
ads will be print media, as Target does most of its advertising in
this way to reach its target audience. The OOH elements will be
placed across LA, NYC and Ohio. The online ads will appear across
Target’s social media platforms, and announcements will be
emailed and posted on their website.
4. What is the goal?
The ultimate call to action is to get more people to visit Target
superstores. It is to promote the goal of spreading awareness of
Target Superstores and the deals/amenities they provide for
people.
5. Why do we need this ad?
To increase knowledge about and responsiveness to Target
superstores to get people to visit them.
6. What will make them listen?
Target is already known for having good deals on items. Pushing
the incentive of even more deals at the superstore than the
regular stores will entice frequent and loyal Target shoppers to
visit these superstores and spread the word about these amazing
savings.
